Hello newcomers!

This site is our resource page and is infrequently updated…so for the latest discussions and event information, please visit our Google Groups page.

See you there!

Welcome Curve Magazine readers! This site is our resource page, but the meat of our discussions happens at at Google group page. There we have a posted calendar of events, and a lot of discussions on every topic from getting pregnant to adoption to daycares that are lesbian friendly.

But the best way to connect is to come out to an event. We meet the 3rd Sunday of every month (in the Portland Parks in the summer and at the Q Center or members’ homes the rest of the year). Check out our calendar and find a time that works for you.

Many of us have made great new friends through PLOP. We hope to meet you soon!

Myra Lavenue, co-founder/manager of PLOP

Over the past 6 years, PLOP has grown significantly from the original 4 couples who founded the group to over 150 families. And membership continues to increase. However, many first-time attendees at PLOP events mention how they never knew about the group until they lucked upon hearing about us from a friend, medical professional (probably one of us) or another resource who knew of PLOP’s existence.

So, it was decided that PLOP needed to be a bit more proactive in advertising the group’s existence in a more robust way. And here we are! This site is the result of requests to make information about PLOP more easily accessible, particularly via the Internet.

Along with this site, we’ve set up an easy-to-use discussion forum for our members to share information, experiences, questions, etc. at Google Groups (http://groups.google.com/group/ploppdx).

We’re excited about our growth and the wonderful group of families that are making connections in the Portland area. Come join us!
